DUSTIN LAY IS WINNER IN MIX 96.1 MINI-CUP SERIES FEATURE

   With four cars on hand and two having mechanical problems, the feature for the Mix 96.1 Mini-Cup Series turned out to be a two-car event.

   Dustin Lay of Williamsburg, driving the Lay Racing Chevrolet No. 20, won by six car lengths over Scott Crusenberry of Scottsburg, who was at the wheel of the Tri-County Wood Toyota No. 8.

   Lay led by as much as a quarter of a lap with just two laps to go, when a spin by Crusenberry in the first turn brought out the caution flag.

   "I just got ahead and hoped for the best," the winner commented.

   Michael Lay of Williamsburg, in the Fuson & Sons Chevrolet No. 18, was third after pulling off in the first lap with mechanical problems.

   Also beset with mechanical problems was Travis Page of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. who was unable to start the feature in the Lucas Oil Dodge No. 10.

   Dustin Lay was the fast qualifier with a time of 16.321, and he also won the four-lap AR Bodies trophy dash.
